I believe a guard detachment of the Security Section of the 81st Air Depot Group was based in the Ward Motors building on the corner of Church Street and Wickham Street, Fortitude Valley in Brisbane during WW2. Their barracks were also believed to be in that building.
The Ward Motors building was also the home for the Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron of the 81st Air Depot Group.
