TAXYING ACCIDENT OF A WIRRAWAY
AT KINGAROY AIRFIELD, QLD
ON 8 APRIL 1943

On 8 April 1943, during night circuits and landing practices, Wirraway A20-517 of 5 Squadron RAAF landed successfully at Kingaroy Airfield then struck a fence whilst taxying, damaging the mainplane and airscrew. The crew were uninjured and were as follows:-
