THE CATALINA PROJECT
WE NEED HELP WITH OUR "BLACK CAT" PROJECT
A " Black Cat" Catalina from WW2
The Seaplane Pilots Association of Australia and the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society, Inc. (HARS) have purchased a PBY Catalina from Portugal and are in the process of having it brought to Australia. It will be restored to the WW2 Black Cat configuration in common use in the South West Pacific Area (SWPA) during WW2.
The Catalina project has so far been funded by many generous donations including the initial third of the purchase price which was kindly donated by Dick Smith. There is still a long way to go.
The project is
still in need of more donations
to allow it to meet its objectives
