5 Base Ordnance Depot (5 BOD) was established at the Nungarin Army Depot and Workshop at Nungarin in Western Australia during WW2. The Heritage Machinery and Army Museum is now located on the site of the former Army Depot at Third Avenue, Nungarin, WA. The site for the Army Depot was apparently selected as it was outside the range of Japanese carrier-based aircraft, and was readily accessible by the rail network.
