NORTH DANDALUP CAMP
GUERILLA TRAINING CAMP FOR THE VDC
IN AUSTRALIA DURING WWII
A VDC training camp in guerilla warfare was built in February 1942 at North Dandalup about 70 kms south of Perth, WA and 5 kms east of the town of North Dandalup in the Darling Range. It was only used for a couple of courses.
The camp was later used as the North Dandalup Work Camp where German POWs were engaged in firewood collection. They were stationed there in order to save daily travel from No 16 POW Camp at Marrinup.
