Hi, Peter.
I have been all over the web trying to find a picture of B-17E 41-2666. It originally flew with the 19th BG, 435th sq. in '42, was dragged out of the boneyard by Jay Zeamer and his crew of the 43rd BG, 65th sq. sometime in '42, and two Medals of Honor were earned in her 16 June, 1943. She ended up in the 63rd sq., 43rd BG in Sept., '43 and was salvaged at Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1945.
I have written to Lt. Col. Zeamer and he says no pictures were ever taken of her. However, maybe some were taken while she was in the 19th BG? Maybe you can lead me to someone who would know? Thanks for any help you can give me sir!
Sincerely,
Dave Armstrong

Dear Peter:
No, Jay Zeamer's B-17 41-2666 had no nickname, nor do I know of any crashes in Queensland. Sorry. If you have a source for paint schemes of the B-17s of the 19th or the 43rd, please let me know. Thanks!
Sincerely,
Dave Armstrong
