GUN AT FORT QUEENSCLIFF, VIC
FIRES AT A BASS STRAIT FREIGHTER
DURING WWII

On the second day of WW2 one of the guns at Fort Queenscliff in Victoria, fired a warning shot across the bow of the "Woniora", a Bass Strait freighter, after it failed to show the proper identification.

Can anyone help me with more information?
