IN 1945
WRECKAGE OF AN UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT
LOCATED 1/4 MILE OFF MANGROVES
SOUTH OF CAIRNS AIRFIELD

On an unknown date in 1945, the wreckage of an unidentified aircraft was located submerged in water, 1/4 mile off the mangroves, at the southern end of the Cairns airfield.
