26 FIELD COMPANY ROYAL
AUSTRALIAN ENGINEERS (RAE)
IN AUSTRALIA DURING WWII
1 Division, 26 Field Company RAE used the Ambulance Room of the St George and Sutherland Ambulance in Carss Park, Kogarah, New South Wales as an Orderly Room during WWII.
The shelter sheds owned by the Kogarah Municipal Council in Carss Park, Kogarah were used by 1 Division 26 Field Company RAE as a mess room and camping area. The dressing sheds in Carss Park were used as a Quartermaster's Store by 26 Field Company RAE.
"The Guardianship" Scout Hall owned by the Boy Scouts Association in Carss Park was used by 1 Division 26 Field Company RAE as an Officer's Mess and Administration Headquarters.
The 26 Field Company Royal Australia Engineers also used Oatley Park at West Oatley, New South Wales as a camp and training area during WWII.
