Formed as No.7 Fighter Sector Headquarters and later renamed as No.107 Fighter Control Unit.

7 FSHQ was formed at Preston, in Victoria on 4 May 1942. It was renamed to 107 Fighter Control Unit 107 FCU on 7 March 1944.

107 FCU was disbanded at Preston on 21 January 1945.
