CRASH OF P-40E KITTYHAWK
AT PEARCE AIRFIELD, WA
ON 20 APRIL 1942
On 20 April 1942, a P-40E Kittyhawk A29-62 of 77 Squadron RAAF, piloted by Sergeant A. C. McKenzie-King overshot the runway at Pearce Airfield in Western Australia, "damaging starboard flap on obstructions."
