FORCED LANDING OF A KITTYHAWK
AT STRAUSS AIRFIELD, NT
ON 25 NOVEMBER 1942

On 25 November 1942, P-40 Kittyhawk A29-51, #41-5738 of 77 Squadron piloted by Sgt Ron Piper (411823), force landed at Strauss airfield in the Northern Territory due to engine overheating and main bearing failure.
