The 104th Battalion left America on 15 December 1943 and arrived at Milne Bay in New Guinea on 2 February 1944. They were based at Gamadodo until 26 March 1944. The 104th Battalion moved to Los Negros arriving on 1 April 1944. After four months duty they returned to Milne Bay on 4 August 1944. On 7 September 1944, 100 men was assigned to PAD 3. They returned to the 104th Battalion on 2 December 1944. On 25 September 1944, 224 men were sent to Australia. They returned on 22 November 1944.

Can anyone tell me where they worked in Australia?
