AUSTRALIAN ARMY VEHICLE POOL DEPOT
PACIFIC GOLF LINKS
MOUNT GRAVATT, BRISBANE, QLD
The Australian Army took over about 20 acres of the Pacific Golf Links to establish a Vehicle Pool Depot at Mount Gravatt. In May 1943 there were 300 men working at this depot. Sgt. McNaught of the Queensland Police in an internal memo dated 15 May 1943 anticipated at that this may increase to a 1,000 men within 3 months.
Was this where 3 A.A.O.D.V.P. was located?
Or was it the 4th
Australian Ordnance Vehicle Park on Kessels Road?
I believe the Pacific Golf Links were originally located on
Kessels Road.
I believe they may have both been located there
