106TH LIGHT FIELD
AMBULANCE, AIF
IN AUSTRALIA DURING WW2
The 106th Light Field Ambulance, AIF provided medical assistance to the 4th Armoured Brigade during their exercise with tanks in the Coomera area in south east Queensland in October 1944.
Trooper R.E. Beckworth of the 2/9th Australian Armoured Regiment was injured during the exercise at Coomera and was evacuated in a Jeep Ambulance by Private J.H. Kelly (SX30069), Lance Corporal G.D. Parks (SX23420), and Driver R. Wilkin (SX23433) of the 106th Light Field Ambulance.
